RenalShield was created by Andre White Jr., founder of NorthStar Prime and a person living with CKD and hemodialysis. It is a patient-built educational tool—not a clinic, medical device, diet prescription, or replacement for a qualified care team.
Kidney-food decisions can be hard to organize from ingredient lists, nutrition labels, restaurant menus, and personal instructions. RenalShield helps people notice questions worth taking to their nephrologist or renal dietitian.
It screens label information for known additive patterns, organizes educational comparisons, and keeps personal tracking in the user's browser. It does not determine whether a food, symptom, medicine, or target is safe for an individual.
Technical availability is not clinical approval. Medical content and recipe collections keep their clinical, editorial, and release review status separate, and unpublished review material stays private.
Personal needs can vary with labs, CKD stage, dialysis modality, residual kidney function, medications, diabetes, fluid goals, and other conditions. The user's own care team—not this site—sets targets and treatment.
